چکیده
The chickpea (Cicer arieitnum L.) is an important food legume crop of the family Fabaceae with high protein levels that widely grown in rainfed areas prone to drought stress. It a self-pollinated cool season true diploid (2n = 16) nature. relatively cheap and source protein. About 90% by use residual moisture soil without depending on irrigation. In present study, two varieties chickpea, namely ICC 4958 HC-6, were under three field capacities (FC) (100% FC, 50% FC 25% FC). Samples taken times, i.e., 15, 30 45 days after sowing (DAS). Parameters such as morphological, physiological, biochemical, metabolite profiling completed. Morphological parameters shoot length (14.2%), number branches (20.7%), leaves (17.5%) yield (56%) declined level increased other characteristics root (9.7%), flowers (24.5%) pods (34.4%) stress progressed. Physiological relative water content (RWC) (13.5%), cell membrane stability (CMS) (29.6%) chlorophyll decreased, whereas electrolyte conductivity (EC) (38%) both capacity decreased. Biochemical proline (54.75%), sugar (15.2%), glycine betaine (32.25%), superoxide dismutase (SOD) (49.5%), catalase (CAT) (50.5%), ascorbate peroxidase (APX) (44.9%) glutathione reductase (GR) (49%) increased. Metabolite analyses of, for example, MDA (malondialdehyde) (30.5%), total anthocyanin (36.3%), flavonoid (26%) phenolic (29.5%) We also performed using SDS-PAGE (sodium dodecyl-sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis) differentiate expression analysis varieties.

GENETIC DIVERGENCE IN CHICKPEA (Cicer arietinum L.)
Genetic diversity of 27 chickpea genotypes was studied through Mahalanobis D and Principal Component analysis. The genotypes under study fall into five clusters. The cluster II contained the highest number of genotypes (11) and Cluster I contained the lowest. Cluster I produced the highest mean value for number of pods per plant. The inter cluster distances were much higher than the intra clust...

متن کاملShoot traits and their relevance in terminal drought tolerance of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)
Chickpea is the second most important legume crop largely grown under semi-arid tropics where terminal drought is one of the major constraints for its productivity. A trait-based selection had been considered more beneficial in drought tolerance breeding to overcome the environmental influence on drought yields. Large number of traits had been suggested in literature, with less indication on th...
متن کاملPrioritization of candidate genes in “QTL-hotspot” region for drought tolerance in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)
A combination of two approaches, namely QTL analysis and gene enrichment analysis were used to identify candidate genes in the "QTL-hotspot" region for drought tolerance present on the Ca4 pseudomolecule in chickpea. In the first approach, a high-density bin map was developed using 53,223 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) identified in the recombinant inbred line (RIL) population of ICC 49...
متن کاملDirect Regeneration of Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) from Adventitious Buds
The seeds of ten different genotypes of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) originated from Egypt, ICARDA and Saudi Arabia, were used to screen their tissue culture response on various media combination. MS media supplemented with 1, 2 and 4 mg of each of IBA and transzeatin /l, were tested. The results showed that stem results were far better from leaves explants. The callus induction ranged from 6....
